ATELIER/CHILD | Debut collection

When the glossy world of magazines run at a faster pace than a mother's life, you know that this job can't fit the busy motherhood anymore. This is the story of Georgie Abay, former Deputy Editor of Vogue Australia and creator of The Grace Tales, who decided together with her business partner Jessica Baird Walsh  to design and launch Atelier/Child, a cool luxury knitwear brand for children. Georgie and Jessica share a love of design and exceptional quality which have been translated into the beautiful result of Atelier/Child .

I was so thrilled to be part of their launch and to be able to shoot some of their amazing pieces, which are part of their debut collection. The range is fabricated from a fine luxury cashmere blend which makes every piece super soft - my kids says that!! - and features statement sweaters, scarfs and beanies for boys and girls aged one to six, as well as chic luxury baby blankets. I love that the prints are timeless and the patterns are classic but all thought with a contemporary twist and in a fashion-forward colour scale. Seriously, look at my boy wearing the beautiful  The Hound Aqua Sweater, that was love at first sight, for me and him too!! Not to mention the gorgeous The Leopard Sweater that comes in two lovely colours: caramel and pink. Both my girls are wearing the two colours variations, see images below. Or the delicate The Hound Lilac Sweater that my baby girl is sporting at the end of the post. Too sweet!!!

Atelier/Child is a brand for the fashion-savvy parents looking for high quality, on trend pieces that are both sophisticated and modern. They have also launched a basic knitwear line that you can check it out right here.
